To the staff of Spare Bricks,

I read your Editor's Note (Spare Bricks #4, Spring 2000) concerning the dissappearance of Brain Damage Magazine, and I also share the dissappointment and sadness that the magazine is not just discontinued, but has dissappeared without a trace. I began my subscription to Brain Damage when I was 16 in 1993. This was way before I had access to the internet, so I was very excitied to get my issue every 2 or 4 months. Every once in a while I would contact U.S. Editor Jeff Jenson and bug him about Pink Floyd. Jeff was nothing but nice to me and always gave me his time to answer any questions I had. We stayed in touch over the next few years and I would always call and congratulate him as each issue came out. I never had a problem receiving merchandise, with the exception of one time that Jeff took care of immediately after I notified him that I hadn't received the merchandise.

When I had turned 20, I wrote Jeff an E-mail and asked if I could be a staff member of Brain Damage. I told him that I didn't have much creativity to offer, but I would do anything he asked me to help better the magazine. Jeff welcomed me aboard the staff after interviewing me via E-mail. I was so excited when I received my first staff E-mail and him announcing me being a new member of the staff. My first assignment was to think of the next 50 things to be included in the next Brain Drain (a cross word puzzle that Pink Floyd related). Shortly after that, Jeff then assigned me to transcribe an interview with Storm Thorgerson which was conducted by another staff member. I think his name was David Cox, but I may be wrong. I received the tape, transcribed the interview, and then mailed the transcription to Jeff. I later received a copy of Mind Over Matter as a thank you from Brain Damage.

Needless to say my work for Brain Damage never showed up the next issue because there wasn't one. I tried calling Jeff a few times, but never received an answer. I was even one of those people who did not get his money's worth out of his subscription, but that doesn't bother me. I just wanted to know if Jeff was doing okay, and if the magazine was still a go. Anyway, to make a long story short (too late) I as a "staff member" didn't even get notified about Brain Damage. Just to let you know, everyone was left in the dark. At any rate, if you do talk to Jeff, tell him that we are still thinking about him and hope he's okay.

Hello... I was just wondering if anyone has a set list from the Waters tour? Or, if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where it may be found. I have checked out everywhere and still can't seem to locate it. thank you,

Perry

Some of the speakers in the transcript of David Gilmour and Roger Waters talking during the rehearsals of The Wall [ROIO Review, issue #4, spring 2000] were incorrectly identified. Spare Bricks regrets the error and will correct the problem in archived versions of the issue.
